Kirpal was born with “the gift.” In folk magic & the old ways, it means someone who simply “knows things.”

Her two grannies recognized and guided her growing gift. From them, she learned plant lore, Irish stone magic, and the ancient belief that scent is a bridge between the physical world and the Divine.

At the age of nine, Kirpal was hospitalized for an entire summer. During her long recovery, she entered a world of books, art, and crafts. Immersed in Bulfinch’s Mythology and the writings of Saint Augustine and later Agrippa, she began what would become a lifelong study and practice of spirituality, mysticism, folklore, and the magical arts.

In 1985, Kirpal founded Objets d’Art & Spirit, a metaphysical shop in Los Angeles, to bring her “gift” into the world. For more than forty years, she has lovingly curated a unique collection of antiquities, vintage treasures, modern magical and spiritual objects, and all manner of curious goods.

Kirpal has an intuitive ability to sense the energy within objects that hold power, healing, love, and a reflection of the Divine. Known as the Wisewoman of Hollywood, she is sought not only for her guidance, but also for her discerning eye and her ability to recognize the strength, beauty, and power of authentic magical objects.

Today, Kirpal creates an exquisite collection for Etsy, including handmade candles, oils, manifestation and spell kits, bath salts and gels, inks, herbal helpers and spells, and incense.
